MGO BOARD Core Tensile Strength Test 


Mgo board laminated products, like laminate PVC, HPL, is becoming the popular market demand. 


For the lamination products, one of the concern for customer is about the delamination. This delamination is not the adhesive, but the internal structural strength (core cohesion) of the mgo board itself.


In our lab, we did the Core Tensile Strength Test (also known as a Substrate Integrity Test).


What does this test simulate?
The test involves clamping a sample of our magnesium oxide board and applying opposing tensile forces to its faces.

This replicates the extreme shear and tensile stresses that occur within the board’s core when rigid facings restrain its natural movement due to temperature fluctuations, humidity changes, or mechanical loading.


This test could prove the internal structural strength of the mgo board very well.
